Fellowship News:

Our next club fellowship event will be um, er, ah ............... we'll let you know ........

++++++

HEADS UP: There'll be a joint fellowship of all the clubs in Area 7 of District 3450 (which includes KGM), on the evening of Wednesday 1 December, at a venue (and at a cost) to be announced soon.

Fund-Raising News:

Our old mate Brian "The Full Monty" Hodgson is, ahhh, tickled pink (some would say tickled "pasty white"), to announce that his latest, um, titillating project has finally been launched, and he sincerely hopes that he hasn't made an, er, ass of himself.

Anyway, twelve valiant members of our club have bared all in the name of charity, and the results can be seen in a 2005 Calendar, the making of which was, according to Brian, "Both a privilege and a joy, as it provided a source of great fun for all contributors".

Of course a major contribution was made by Colin Beere, a hugely creative and immensely talented photographer, who turned an idea into a reality. Apparently he also owns an industrial strength air-brush (thank God for small mercies!).

All proceeds raised through sales of the calendar will benefit various local & overseas charitable organisations which KGM has supported over the past 18 years, and these include Aids Concern. Cancer Research HK, Christian Action, Crossroads International, Cleft Lip surgery for children in the Philippines, Gift of Life (hole-in-the-heart surgery for children in China), Haven of Hope Hospice, Lok Chi Association for the Disabled and the St. James' Settlement.

Brian hopes that every member will buy at least 10 copies of the calendar to give to family, friends or customers. The price of each calendar is HK$150 (or only HK$125 if you order before 1 December).

The calendar should be viewable online at http://www.professionalsexposed.com/ by the time you read this (viewer discretion is advised) but, if not, keep trying, because it takes a while for the Internet to resolve (what is known as) the domain-name server (DNS) look-up.

For more information, contact Brian on telephone 9191 7508 or by email.

District 3450 News & Events:

Where, oh where, is our beloved DG Alexander Mak's latest monthly newsletter? The most current one available on the District website is the August 2004 issue, but it's already, like, November, dude. Wassup?

And when, oh when, is the DG going to make his Official Visit to KGM? Sure, it's nice getting together with the other clubs in Area 7 for a slap-up dinner, dance & tickle, but surely KGM is entitled to a visit where KGM has our DG's undivided attention?

So many questions, so few answers .............. hello? HELLO?

Golden Smile:

A Priest was called away for an emergency.

Not wanting to leave the confessional unmanned, he called a Rabbi friend and asked him to cover for him. The Rabbi told the Priest he wouldn't know what to say, but the Priest told him to come on over and he'd stay with him and show him what to do. The Rabbi comes and he and the Priest are in the confessional.

After a few minutes, a woman comes in and says, "Father forgive me for I have sinned."
The Priest asks "What did you do?"
The woman says "I committed adultery."
Priest: "How many times?"
Woman: "Three times."
Priest: "Say two Hail Marys, put $5 in the box and sin no more."

A few minutes later another woman enters the confessional and says: "Father forgive me for I have sinned."
Priest: "What did you do?"
Woman: "I committed adultery."
Priest: "How many times?"
Woman: "Three times."
Priest: "Say two Hail Marys, put $5 in the box and sin no more."

The Rabbi tells the Priest that he thinks he's got the hang of it, so the Priest leaves.

A few minutes later, another woman enters the confessional and says, "Father forgive me for I have sinned."
Rabbi: "What did you do?"
Woman: "I committed adultery."
Rabbi: "How many times?"
Woman: "Just once."
Rabbi: "Go do it two more times. We have a special this week, three for $5."

Quotable Quotes:

"The trouble with some women is they get all excited about nothing, and then they marry him."
